Our society keeps continued interaction with our communities. Our staff, community workers and volunteers regularly visit the communities in which we work, interact with them, discuss their issues and try to resolve them or help them to take issues forward to the next step. In these community discussions, we find the area of issues. Primarily these are related to health, education, domestic violence, employment etc.
We have conducted more sessions during the year to spread the information among adolescent girls through personal counseling and knowledge sharing. Career counselling sessions were conducted during the year at our Noida centre. Professional external career counsellors were invited to address the sessions for adolescents.
Society has organized awareness medical camps at its Noida centre. The objective of the camps is to spread awareness about health issues like TB and about ORS uses besides conducingt a regular medical check up.
The reproductive health awareness issues associated with adolescence and to avail services like Adolescent Friendly Clinic (AFC) among rural and urban school going children. Sexual and Reproductive Health Awareness Day was held at society’s Noida campus. More than 200 women and adolescent girls participated in the programs. Efforts were made to raise awareness about sexual and reproductive health issues and to educate to reduce the spread of sexually transmitted infections.
